While i have seen 13's out of an AP2 (my friends before it was repo'ed hahaha long story) but i have a hard time believing alot of the peopel because my friend was also a person that was at the drag strip sometimes 3-4 times a week...and he can drive better than most people ive ever met...having random newbies come on claiming such is kinda funny.

My 1/4 time? This morning it was about 45min....stupid tractor trailer overturned and gummed everything up on my way to work.

ohh so since thye are a noob to the H-T site that MUST MEAN that they dont know **** bout cars, can't drive, nor do they have the ability to hit 13's in their s2k stock. so if andretti comes on this board tom. and is a noob does that mean he doesn't know **** about cars n whatever he posts is possible of being crap?

Oh no, my 8th mile was 4 flat. My 1/4 was 10.9 after today - I bogged the launch though. I couldve hit 8's or 9's probably, but I blew my passenger side floor panel out.

There has been timeslips of 13.7 with a stock car. Wisconsin at s2ki has done just that. I am sure if Sideways over there ever ran his car (he may have i just don't know) it would have done the same or better. So I believe you knowing that it can be done. You gotta rev the **** out of the car and launch it hard like you hate. Slap that car around a bit and good times will present themselves.

Nope...but from his posts, its pretty safe to assume that he doesnt have the knowledge on the S2000 enough to know how to properly shift the car (perfectly) to get that kind of 1/4 ET...

My wife ran a 14.3xx when we went months back...her first time EVER drag racing at a dragstrip. I have my friends 13sec. run on video...along with consistant low 14's over and over and over again. So your 14.6-14.8's are just from either a lack of driving technique or bad conditions.

Rev it up to 6000-6500RPM and DUMP the clutch. DO NOT FEATHER IT ONE BIT.
Launching this way breaks the tires loose and keeps you in the powerband. If you launch incorrectly and do not break the tires loose, your driveline will take the "shock" which causes broken differentials. However, breaking the tires loose frees this shock (for the lack of a better word) and places minimal stress on the driveline.
