Default disc brake upgrade problems

ok,i got a few things boggling my head. i just got front and rear gsr brakes for my 98 hatch. fist thing bothering me is this. i was on majestichonda.com looking for a proportioning valve and what i found was that they had the Si one i need and my existing Cx one listed under the same product number. im almost positive they are different and i dont want to order it recieve the same one i already have. any ideas on this topic?

my second problem is the whole issue with the master cylinders. im exhaused with the searching because all i find is half *** threads that arent very helpful tech-wise. how do i know which models of which cars have which size MCs? from what i read, i assume my stock cx one is 13/16"?? would it be very beneficial to get a larger one? and how safe is it buying a used one over a new one? cuz i know things like that go bad over time. i was interested in getting a 1" MC but dont know what car it comes on. and also i assume i have to get a matching booster as well.

third of all, if anyone has integra e-brake cables up for grabs, let me know.

thanx.

The proportion valve should be stamped 40/40 on it. I think yours is stamped 30/40. (But its really small)

And for the MC just find a 91 EX MC. If you really desire the 1" you'll need the Brake booster as well, when you really don't...

No cables sorry

so you're saying if i get a 15/16 over my 13/16 i wont need a booster, but if i get a 1" i will need a new booster?

Its not the size that matters. Its b/c just the MC off an Integra won't line up right with your Civic Brake Booster. At least I don't think it does...

I have a 99 Civic DX Hatchback, came stock with a 13/16 mc. The brakebooster and Prop valve are the same stock number as the 40/40prop valve and the SI brakebooster.. so i've never changed either. When i upgraded my rear drum to disc (98 gsr rear discs) i upgraded my MC to a 7/8 mc out of a 99-00 SI.. much better pedal feel.. and about a month ago when i upgraded my front brakes to 2001 ITR Front brakes.. i upgraded my MC to a GSR 1" MC.. bolted directly onto my civic brake booster with no problems.. everyone that drives my car says the brakes are retarded and they're the best part of the car..

So yes a Integra 1" MC will work with your civic brakebooster.

This guy is good.
I was also told by Honda that the prop valve from hatches is identical so the Si prop valve as well.

A civic BB will NOT work with a teg MC (for 92-95, you'r'e talking about EK, oops). Also, a 99-00si has a 1'' MC stock.

99-00si MC's have a horizontal bolt pattern to the BB
Integras have a diagonal bolt pattern pointing upwards to the right.

Not hating or anything, lets just figure this out for good.

The 99-00 SI Has a 7/8th MC.. i have one sitting in my garage.. the Teg has bigger brakes and the biggest MC, 1".
