Some may remember my "Should I buy the Si in the driveway" post......part 2.
So today I did it. I bought the Si. Should I call it a Si, or should I call it the EM1?
Dunno?
I got the Honda Care extended warranty and gap insurance.......100K mile warranty. Some remember I work at a Honda dealer, so I got a killer deal.
I figured out how the car is lowered. Apparently it seems AEM makes drop springs, and they are on the Si. Rides good and I dont see any install issues, so they will stay. Cosmetically, the car will stay stock. I need a Si badge for the rear deck, and thats it. Installing some OEM mud guards tommorow. Changed the plugs, brake fluid, clutch fluid and oil using all Honda parts.
Car rides wonderful. Plenty of power and somehow my insurance is cheaper!
Couple of little nit picking things here and there I wont bother with, but overall I am happy.
Thanks for all those who posted and encouraged me to go with this. Coming from slammed, cammed, and modded Cavalier. This car is AMAZING.
Oh and 36K miles to boot

Doesn't matter, either will do. Install some kill switches, relocate your hood cable and power lock switch, buy an autolock (clutch lock), an alarm and a tracking device (LoJack) NOW, or you won't be calling it anything for long. Seriously.

I will seriously look into it. Though car theft in my area is like NON existent. It would suck though. Any suggestions on a alarm?
I dont have the numbers close by. Basically the car I got for 9500 or so. I can remember exactly. I financed more because of the negative equity on the trade.

I used to think that too, until I checked the FBIs crime statistics, and my friends ride got jacked a few weeks later. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not happening. Plus, everything I mentioned is mostly free (with the exception of an alarm and tracking device) so why not just do them? The theif will move onto easier pickings. I know that's why I've come out to my car with just the plates missing instead of the whole thing.

Well either way, I am happy with the car. I will find the exact numbers. You can always get a better deal. But for me....now.....this was good.
9500 for an SI with such low miles is an excellent deal.
As long as it wasn't raced to **** by ricers you're golden! Congrats on your buy.
