Default Is a 3" cutout or a full 4" exhaust better?

I have ran into some issues. I just found out that I can't compete in NHRA SFWD because I do not have an exhaust that exits the rear of the crar. I have a 3" dmh cutout with a turndown right in front of my drivers side wheel well, and the rest of the exhaust is my stock 2.xx inch piping with the stock muffler, so What I was wondering is, perfomance wise, whick is better, my cutout that dumps like 18" from the turbo, or a full 4" exhaust? Thanks guys.

Well I will use a 4" dp if I go the full 4" route, but I just dont like the fact that you have to run a Full exhaust, that sucks.

will the 4" perform as well ast the 3" cutout? Also, does anyone make any good 4" mufflers?

but during normal driving the ecutout is closed.... so the car would only be loud when its open and at WOT.

Turbo cars love open downpipes, less restriction. But if you can't have a cut-out for SFWD....go 4" DP to 4" exhaust.

3" open dump would flow better than full 4", but by how much and how much power difference would there be?

Burns Stainless also makes some good lightweight race mufflers to any diameter/length you need.

There's the saying "BEST Exhaust for a turbo car, Is NO exhaust at all" Well that is true if you are all about the track and street racing. Just remember all cars need SOME back pressure. But if your asking for whether 3" Dump Or 4" Full out. 4" full out you will find is all the power of a 3" inch dump. But without the Noise Polution ticked and the smell of exhaust when you'r windows are down.

4" Turbo Back

Its like Really good Safe Sex
