I've read all those before and the bottom line is there is no perminent fix right now. I called my local Acura dealer and they said there were no service bulletins for this problem at this time. Should there ever be a universal solution that I find out about I'll post about if someone doens't beat me to it.
I am a technician at an acura dewalerchip......wh have been replacing pillow mounts and/or complete strut assemblies.....it is an easy fix and does not take very long to fix
the only TSB that I could find at the moment that any of you may notice is a squeaky clutch pedal. The problem is a spring inside the master cylinder rubbing. The solution is to replace the clutch MC with a revised version and to silicone the clutch line insert.
I did one of these this morning and it takes a little less than an hour to replace the MC and bleed the clutch.

what is the problem???? i know some people with the same car and they dont have the problem. is this on all type s's or just some and why would some have problems and others dont??? you say you replace the pillow mounts and strut assemblies but arnt you replacing it with the same part??? I was told by a acura tech that they were replacing them with parts but it wasnt working and are waiting for a perm fix from acura.

to be honest with you I think the problem is the pillow mount design. They are using rubber to metal at a moving joint and when the rubber loses its lubrication they start popping when the wheel is turned. The only way that I can think of is to convert the pillow ball to a spherical bearing or to use a pillow ball similar in style to the one used on the mid 90's Mazda minivan. There are many different designs but I think the OEM verson of the Mazda is about one of the best out there for noise supression and relability.
