For a couple weeks now my car has been running funny. Idle is very choppy-even makes the hood vibrate, but once im going im fine. Twice loast week my car has turned itself off at idle (never happened b4). My spark plugs and wires r bout a yr old (denso iridiums, nology hotwires), so i dont think there the problem. My jdm h22 has run extremely rich(makes me wonder if the plugs-wires have too much carbon on them) since it was put in two years ago, but none of these problems existed. I changed the fuel filter a couple days ago, and that did nothing!! I think im going to clean off the O2 sensor next. Guys please help me, this is so irritating!!!!! Thanks for the help.

 

check for vacuum leaks too.

 

how would a vaccum leak make the car stop at idle?
One guy suggested that the main relay could be bad, what is that

 

If the main relay was bad, it simply wouldn't start....

Is there anything that you can remember you did/fixed/messed with before this started happening?

 

dude, its really strange havnt messd with a damn thing...did havea new cat-back put on, but fairly sure was havn same problems b4 that. Im thinkn since it runs so rich that the O2 might be black?
