Let me give you the story and tell me what you think.
Driving home today, just cruising at 55 in 5th when I hit a 45 mph zone. Went to downshift into 4th and it wouldnt lock into gear. Tried 3rd.... no go. 2nd...... no go. Would'nt shift into any gear!!! Pulled over and shut the car off and it started shifting fine. Started it back up in neutral and when I went to put it in first, it wouldn't go. Turned it off, put it in first and started the car and it drove fine from there. Had the problem about 2 other times this morning.
Thing I don't get is that this is not a persistant problem. The car will be running/shifting fine and just decide to do it. After starting it back up and driving it will run fine. I'm lost
Also, there is some clicking coming from the tranny when the clutch is engaged.
Any help here is appreciated.

sounds like exact same prob i had.
does your clutch pedal have good pressure? if so, there's good chance that either your pressure plate is fubar or the clutch disk is worn out. in your case, it seems to point to latter since you're still running on your stock clutch?
