AEM V2 CAI for type-s
I am trying to find a V2 online for my 05 type-s, what I see online is for 2004 type-s's(?) Do any of you guys have a V2 on your 05's? I had intake and headers on my 00 gs and I was running a little lean-is this going to be a problem for this intake by itself? I don't think it will but I want to keep the car in good running shape. Thanks ahead guys.

just installed the V2 on my 05-s this weekend. no problems whatsoever.
the 04 intakes will work with the 05's, AEM said so themselves.
clubrsx has them with free 2 day shipping.

um V2 is not a CAI. It's closer to a SRI if anything. And it doesn't offer much gains other than sounding cool. Don't believe the numbers on AEM's sight. Read people's testimonials. I know 2 05-S with it, and it didn't do **** for them except sounding nice. Just go CAI.
I think the AEM V2 looks so beastly. But if you're after power. Just get an Injen Cold Air Intake or an AEM Cold Air Intake. They're basically the same. Just becareful with hydrolocking..
its true the V2 is not the power move, but for those who live in climates where it rains A LOT (me), a $300 investment is not worth ruining a $23,000 automobile.
if you want power, go with the injen CAI. the numbers it makes are proven.
otherwise, the V2 is the only other way i'd go.

For that he could get a race header and exhaust as well as the v2.

yeah, seriously... not to mention mugen highly recommends the use of their front bumper in conjunction with the airbox, which is also crazy expensive. you could probably get a knock-off of the bumper, but still. a little too much $$ and effort for just an intake... just my opinion though.

you live in jacksonville, I live in gainesville. Cold Air all the way man. Just drive carefully when it rains and don't hit puddles. When it rains hard, don't go any routes that you're unfamiliar with.

i live up in destin, and right now its raining like a bastard!
i tried to stop by my girls house on the way to work, the water level is already so high, that at like 10mph water starts to come up to the acura emblem on my stock rsx. Alot of people run CAI's around here they just make shure they have a bypass valve and try not to hit deep puddles
Yeah so pretty much.... Fl weather can suck *****

Yeah, it's the summertime and there are torrential downpours every afternoon. I don't want to have to worry that I am going to run through a puddle and ruin my car. It doesn't matter how fast it can go if there is water in the engine.

The differences between intakes is MINIMAL. It's amazing how much people will debate the gains of intakes over 2-3hp. I've seen dyno's of a comparision between an Injen CAI and a V2 and the biggest diff was only 3hp. WOW!

Check out our results from today. My shop has NOTHING to gain from this test other than a comparison. I'm still in shock. Only thing we changed run to run was unhooking the battery for 1 minute. NOTHING else, as we didn't even unload the car from our dyno.
