Anybody ever use lucas oil stabilizer?
Yep. if you want a thicker oil ... start with a thicker oil from the start.
It's better than blending your own with this goo ... and cheaper as well.

i've been using Lucas for quite a while now, it makes my b16 purr's a lot better, and i have never seen the oil come out like that in my life its as black as any other oil is.
i also use it for my R works well and i don't see any color changes nor foam. unless he is using hte non-synthetic formula.
cuz a non-synthetic formula trying to stabalize a synthetic formular ain't goign to work.
and in both my b16 ef and R i use Mobil 1 5w30 and Lucas synthetic oil. runs mint and drives mint. and no where has my oil ever turned any color other than golden brown when it was in and black out.
so i don't know what kind of test he did or if it was valid even, and he uses different oils than we do.

I only used the junk once... at about 322,000 with 2 blown piston rings I dropped that crap in with a quart of 20w-50 and it gave me enough compression to get home... Just bear in mind that if it's already burinig oil nothing short of a rebuild/swap will fix it.
I wouldnt do it...
Our motors are engineered to use a specific oil.
Even at my shop, If i dont use the right oil (for example...In lubricating the ways of my lathes) you notice it.
I know a lathe dosent compare to a motor, but just the principle.
Honda engineers dont spend countless hours thinkin in the back of thier mind, Oh just let them put whatever they want in thier motors, Same goes with the Motor Oil manufactures. Things are done for a reason.

Me and my dad have been using that **** for a long time... Never has done anything bad to the engines. Always notice some performance gain. If you haven't tried it you should!

Agreed, a good oil won't need any additives what so ever.
