It's a hawt trend in the hot rod scene. Some of the chopped coupes that come out in my area come out in flat red (VERY HOT), flat/satin blue, satin midnight (purplish color), and have even seen a flat yellow base coat with a flat clear that had salmon pearlescent flake.
i'm interested in this too, knew about the flat black thing with hotrod guys (saw this awesome car that was flat black with two-stage satin/gloss black flames).
But I wanna see other colors

you won't find alot of hondas in a flat paint job, but it would defently look coool. For a paint job like that, they use a clear coat that makes it look flat. I was going to paint my car flat light green. It looked cool on the one hatch that I saw it on, however, after thinking about it, for all the work, it wasn't worth it to me. Instead (and currently in the process) I am going to paint my car white (it was flat black). At autozone and other parts stores, they sell duplicolor paint system that is actually sprayable with a gun. Pick up a can of the paint and there is all the steps you need to take and what to buy. Yesterday, I sanded like crazy, today I cleaned then masked, and from 8-10, I put the first coat of filler primer on.
my car is currently flat black... needs a respray real bad tho. (spray painted over a year ago).
i was considering a khaki/tan flat color or flat brown...
i was never real sure about olive drab/flat green tho...
-you can spray paint (use fat caps, it'll come out without the 'tiger stripes')
-use a spray gun and get rustoleum and thin it with acetone/mineral spirits.
-spray a base coat and then clear coat with a flattening agent.
good luck and post pics after it's completed.
i can get you pics of flat paint jobs on hotrods/muscle cars... i'd have to host them tho...

Iam also thinking about doing a flat tan color or maybe even flat red. As for the spray cans I could never find the fat tips. Also for some reason when painting rustoleum with acetone and a paint gun my car came out with a light texture for some reason. If It would come out smooth that would be great! If anyone would please share some tips with me Id appreciate it!

Dave, isnt there a paint shop somewhere over by gtm or something? Go there I bet they will have chips of a color like that. Let's do mine too.
Does this mean I don't have to paint the side skirts?
