problems with h22a
tonight i went to the track first time with new ecu i ordered a p13 with a skunk 2 chip, but a p72 was sent to me with a skunk2 chip in it, well here are the problems my car is a 92 si so it was never wired for VTEC so we did all that ourselves the p13 that came with the swap from square one hit the box at around 6,500 to 6,800 which was unusual so i wanted a new one, I have heard the p72 works really well with h22's is this true??????. Also vtec i can never hear it and its suppost to kick in a 4,500 claims the guy who sold me the ecu, well i told him i never hear vtec and he was like well skunk2 chips the vtec is quite im like ok.so i went on with the ecu now since the car was never wired for vtec we decided to soder the wire actually on the board we heard of people doing this but to be sure not to get anything on the board itself.so after done with that we plugged it all up and no check engine light at all but i cant hear vtec, o and after about 5,500 rpms the check engine light comes on but i can keep pulling as hard as i want to so people told me it can be a number of things not to worry about it. what should i do about all this and i do plan on buying ecu plugs this time that i recently heard about can i try to un soder the vtec wire IF THAT IS EVEN POSSIBLE and use a vtec ecu plug or just get a new ecu and take my loss in the p72 and if i do that do i get a p13 or a p72?????? which works better.

sounds like you have no idea what you're doing, get a stock vtec ecu and call it a day... you aren't ready for anything else yet
