Default So a sorta kinda funny problem with my new rims and tires.NOW WITH PICS!!!! ohemgee

so today i went to suby dude to get some rota torques in gun metallic to get wrapped in my existing good condition potenza tires. bad news was that i thought the tires were to fit 15's but they were for 14's. i was gonna get the cheapest tire rim combo i could for 850+ but then after a long debate i said no ill just go on craigslist and look for some blades or something else.

after about 30 minutes i find a set of rota c-8's for sale for 450+steelies. what a great deal i have stealies and i want rotas.

after meeting up at BIG O to get our wheels swapped there was problem with jdm lug nuts that wasnt resolved until after another 30 minutes. i pay the man and am satisfy with my new wheels and wheel locks. bad thing is there are no centercaps and the wheels need balancing but thats not the true problem im facing....

i'm 17 and this was my first car and my parents told me not to put money into it and i did just that. and now i need a story to cover it up with real quick. my brother told me to tell them i found them on the freeway. i say my brothers friend was parting out his car and heard that i just got a car and donated the rims to me in exchange for my existing steelies.. post up your ideas.

i need new brakes

s2k antenna

pretty good miles for a 94

ebay license plate frame

hatch view

non existent v-tech engine bay

swinging luah girl car freshener

wannabe mugen keychain and car and club keys.

alright, you got a flat tire/s, and your rim/s got bent so you had to buy new ones and these were a steal of a deal plus they will make the value of the car go up. muahahahaha

I like the idea of them getting donated to you by someone parting out his car. Or you could just man up and sit them down and talk to them that its your car, your money, and you are almost by legal standards a grown man that can make his own decisions.

I agree here, either own up and say "my cash, my choice", or just obey them. But don't go making up stories. Only my opinion though...

Your friend wrecked his car and you put your old steelies on in exchange for the rota and he is getting insurance money for his car so he didnt mind giving them to you and the car had to have soem sort of wheels on it to move so you traded. (Did this with my old truck and a Friends totaled F-150)

im gonna just pretend that theyre oem stock wheels, they have no evidence stating otherwise. my dad was talking about "dont get a muffler theyre expensive blah blah" i was like wtf im not that type of person, im getting a catback exhaust *****! hopefully if its not too noisy they wont notice. and i gotta get my tein lowering springs but im pretty sure theyll just think they got fat if they ride in it.

my ideas are not to display your license plate number online and to avoid further flamming learn how to spell VTEC. Id be honest with your parents you never know when its gonna backfire on you and tha will create trust issues. good luck

just zip-tie your old hub caps on the rotas, and when you leave cut them off

no but sceriouly just tell them the truth, or just dont tell them at all. my dad told me the same crap, and look at me now. almost 4 grand worth of crap, and no bitching. the only thing he doesnt really like is the open header idea, but its only for a wile

i hate to be negative. it is one thing to disobey your parents, another to lie to them afterwards. if u had the ***** to do something they wouldn't approve of, you should have the ***** to tell them. just tell them the truth.

How about you tell them to bite your ***...

If the car is not in your name(title) or they will try to take it away, tell them if they do you will take your wheels and see how they like a car sittin on blocks in their driveway.

hah its registered under my name and everything and i paid for all the mods myself. but i just told them that my brothers friend was parting out his car and i just paid to get them swapped off and to buy wheel locks. and my mom was like oh okay that sounds like a good deal. and if she checks my next bank statement im planning on getting my break rotors replaced for free from my friends uncle and just tell them that i paid for it in cash.

You grow some ***** and tell them you spent it on rims. Im still in the same situation you are in regarding modding the car (not to waste my money on it) I got $600 for a graduation present to buy rims and my dad wouldnt let me (and he gave me the money) Turns out he is buying me a new car soon. So, from that, all I can say is maybe they are going to buy you something nicer, but want you to help pay. Either that, or they're kicking you out of your house soon, and they want you to have money for bills.
