Default thicker headgasket =bad or good

i have an N/A ls/vtec with 11.1 CR pistons. i was looking to go FI soon and was wondering if using a thicker headgasket to lower the CR a good or bad idea. the thing is, i have about 3k miles on the new Srp pistons and would hate to spend the money to get new ones.

the headgasket would help... what sort of boost/power levels do you plan on running? the srp's arent good for higher boost levels because of the silcone content (at least thats what i remember)

thick headgaskets will help the engine live at high boost levels, but will NOT help make any power... too much piston-head clearance is bad
