Well i have a 95 rs and when i turn the car on in park, press the break the button is still stuck, so i have to start my car in neutral. What can the problem be? I took off all the panels made sure all the wires were in place and they appeard to be all from factory. So tommarow im gunna take the part out that moves when the brake is pressed (dunno the name) and buy another from Acura. Is there any other possibly fualt there could be mabye under the break pedal?

Are you sure it's not locked? Do you have the little key to put in that one slot by the shifter?

I believe it does, because how would he get it into neutral? I have an auto as well and for a safety feature, when the key is in the ignition, it wont let you pull it out until the car is in park.

Anyways, i dont really know much about this, i've never had problems w/ my shifter. When you place your foot on the brake to try and move it, do you hear a click?

 

when i start the car i have to use the auto shift link and put it in neurtal to start it. when i put it in park it wont come out when i press the brake. theres no "click" sound. could there be any probs with something behind the brake?

also im prob outta post (still trial user) so i will be editing my post if u could just look back
