Default rod & main bearing ?

If either of these are going will the car make a noticable sound upon start up? I have a metallic rattling sound in the morning when I start the car up , but it goes away when the car fully warms up.

Could this be my bearings?

nope, most likley the skirts on the pistons...when cold metal contracts...so their built in an egg pattern... so they rattle in the combustion chamber. when the engine heats up the metal expands... and the skirts on the pistons fill the cylinder walls up and that why u cant hear it anymore.. im 99.9% sure thats the rattling...i doubt its your bearings...

Is this something I should be concerned about. should I stop driving the car and get it fixed?

nope, dont worry about it at all... it doesent do anything to performance and doesnt make your engine wear abnormally. and i bet you if u took it to honda theyd say the same thing... its not as common in imports that i know of but alot in like GM models... (aka pieces of ****) lol but jsut cause urs does that doesnt mean its **** i just say GM = ****

Just drive it easy till it's warmed up.

Yeah well I naturally drive the car easy, shifting before 3k when warming up and rarely shifting higher than 4k when the car is warm. Every once in a while I will open her up , but not very often.

thanks guys

valve adjustment time.

if it were bearings the noise wouldn't go away and get louder as the rpms increase.
