Ive had the rex for about 3 months....91 crx si....started up just fine but lately its been real hesitant to start, it will crank and crank then sounds like it wants to start but doesnt and then just cranks again....Whats could be the problem? Help a.s.a.p

 

Do you hear the fuel pump prime everytime you turn the key to the on position?

 

CHECK DIZZY..............Spark....... fuel? on all three of my si's the dizzy has gone bad....usually coil

 

What the heck is the dizzy....NewB to the ef's....

 

If by prime you mean it swooshin gas, no? No noise at all? Whats the problem?

 

DIZZY = DISTRIBUTOR, CHECK FUEL LINES FOR FUEL PRESSURE

 

and how do i check the dizzy?

well you you turn the key to the on position you should hear the full pump make a humming noise for a few seconds. If its not doing that you could have a bad main relay

 

well timing was a little off....got it timed....but it idles constantly at 300 to 1500 rpms up and down......And after i timed it it still hesitant after the 2nd or 3rd time i try to start....WHY????????Some one please help....

Check your ECU for any codes. I had this problem before and it turned out to be Injectors.

 

And how exactly do i do that?

 

Pull down the carpet from the firewall in your passenger side footwell, and it will be there. There will be a metal cover with the small hole in the center of it. Put your key in the ignition and just put it to the start position, without starting it, and then check that hole for flashes. Write down what you see and check back on here and we'll try to help you out!

 

All it did was flash once when i put it in the start position...How long do i wait for?
