How long will my 94 auto tranny last?
My 94 lude is hitting about 142k with nothing rebuilt and the thing that worries me most is the condition of my tranny. About 5-6k ago it started to shift a little rough at WOT so I had a tranny fluid flush done then 1000 miles later I had it done again to clean it out. It shifts smooth now but just not as fast as it did when i first got it. I was wondering how many miles others have had on their autos before they crapped out?

It really depends how you drive it. If you baby it then it may last you a few K longer. If not then probably goes out faster. Since you said that its not rebuilt and has 142k already, i will say by 170k you should be gone.
Damn that's scary
I can only hope I have a factory freak that decides to hold on till 200k
Anybody else have any thoughts?

I don't know really, everybody says the autos are terrible but mine is still going strong.
Car has about 125k on the old h23 *yes it's an h23 auto*, and it's done fine over the first 10k with the h22a...

h23 auto tranny here on a f22b(DOHC) with 230k on it... it shifts fine.. Its mainly limited to the 5th gen SS trannies that suck....

Yeah I know the Sportshift trannies are the crappiest of crap and i've always thought the older prelude autos were pretty decent. I think I just worry about my car too much
My auto had 137,xxx miles on it when i did my auto to manual swap in my 94 s model. It didnt slip or anything, just remember automatics dont like heat or dirt, so change you fluid at the correct mileage and dont hammer on it all the time. Good luck with yours
