If you are switching to main studs, be sure to have an experienced shop align hone the block after they're installed. It will change the main bore diameters and roundness with the studs vs. factory bolts. Do this when getting the block honed.

I read on the package that it said that but was unsure how the studs would change anything. Bling blaugh there goes more money

I'd definitely invest in a shorter tranny.

B16/ITR at the least, maybe a jdm 4.7 final

I read on the package that it said that but was unsure how the studs would change anything.

It increases the clamping force on the main caps and that causes the bore to distort.

When the machine shop installs them,it may POSSIBLY distort the big end of the rod, to be safe and if it's a good machine shop, they're going to line hone it to spec for you...
