repairing worn seats
Has anybody tried repairing the stock seats in a CRX? The driver's side seat in this 89 Si is pretty torn up, so I was thinking about swapping the material from the passenger side seat... is this pratical?

It's definately practical and extremely easy to do. When i had my 90 Si my drivers seat was DESTROYED but the pass seat was perfect. Since finding a mint drivers seat is practically impossible i just found another mint pass seat online ($25)
and stripped the drivers seat down to the bare frame. Here are some tips on how to do it...
Leave the upper and lower portions of the seat togeather. When taking the material off, have a pair of needle nose pliars to pull apart the "C" rings that hold the material to the frame. Once the material is off of the seat there will be little straps holding the foam to the seat pan. I broke all of them and didnt even use them when i put the material and foam on the drivers side seat and it still worked and looked fine.
Overall it took me about a hour to do. As long as you have some common sense this shouldnt be too hard for you.
