LS tranny with LSD or B16 Tranny help?
Which would you guys get if you had the choice: FOR about the same amount of $$$ I can get a LS tranny with the OEM tpye R LSD or should I get a B16A2 tranny? I am running all motor.. I am thinking more towards the LS tranny with the LSD because I think the LSD would be better for the 1/4 mile and I would grip power more evenlly? then no lsd but let me know what you guys think and why?
I say B16 tranny all the way. I went from using an LS tranny to a GSR tranny and that felt like night and day as far as accelleration. I wouldn't even think of touching an LS tranny unless it was for a turbo car cuz the gears are much taller.

Change the ring gear to the stock (or aftermarket) GSR/ITR gear and countershaft and it fits in there.

yup B16 tranny and just install a diff that works like a Kazz or an ATS

i agree with him, ive tried all 3 trannys. LS when it came to acceleration, i didnt get anywhere becuz of the long gears. with the b16, it had the fastest acceleration of the trannys, short gears. Gsr was right in the middle, not to long, not to short. i say go with the B16. ive herd some crazy stuff out there like b16 with ls final drive., let the haters hate and do wat u do. ull learn from ur own mistakes, but its funny to watch others

Ok thanks for the input, How about this then, will a tpye R or Kazaa LSD for the B18C tranny fit on the B16 tranny, I don't know anyone who has tried this and will it work or will I have to get a LSD for the B16...
