i just installed a new intake on my 98 teg and when i floor it, it makes a very loud rumble almost like a muscle car. I'm not sure if it is supposed to do that or if something is wrong. It is really annoying! please help me out

 

i'm assuming short ram.. yes that is normal. enjoy the sound!

it sounds good, have someone else drive your car by you at wide open throttle, so u can hear how nice it sounds lol

why did you make two of the same thread? the noise is normal. lol, click on recent topics to get the posts you are sucribed too

 

It is supposed to give a nice growl at WOT since there's a ton of air entering the tubing and resonating. I personally love the sound when I redline my car and am passing everything in sight.

i guess your probably not gonna put exhaust on if you're so annoyed

lol, most people put short-rams on just to get that "annoying" sound. yes it can be annoying. and yes short-rams make much more noise than power.
