if ur throwing a code most smog places wont even try to smog ur car. u could try to unhook the CEL completely since most will not look at ur ecu. or y not use a hf ecu? it will probably burn cleaner?

The si ecu will run richer for sure, so...might make things worse.

When you smog your car and the smog station see's an EGR, they have to check and make sure it works so if there is something wrong with your EGR, then you wont pass smog even if you get good reading from the smog machine.

hit up dirty, ghetto smog shops and tell them you will pay them to pass you. since its a bribe they will know you aint a official and will be more likely to help you out. its a bitch cuz if they get caught then i heard they take all their smog equip away and get massive fines, hence why most places are so stringent on smog tests.

good luck bro, its going to probably run you at least 100$ from what i heard
