From what it looks like when my car is idling, is that the crank pully which i assume it is, seems to be moving a lot ( or vibrating from side to side) The car has just been in a major accident say in June and just had it back for 4 days now. As for the accident the whole damage was done all on the left side. Had to replace outer shell of door, plus window. From fender and the whole back panel. I drive a 99 Prelude. But in the accident there was no under the hood damage. If anyone has some input as to why this has happened please reply!

are you not sure if its the crank pully that your looking at? What is your car doing?

Well from what i heard from getting into 1st gear, it made a groaning sound. It seems to running harsh at idle, where the crank pully and secondary pully next to it, seem to be hitting each other. Car has 144,000 miles.

you can go to cardomain and post the pic there. i dont know what pulley your talking about. the crank pulley doent have a pulley that close to it from what i recall

 

this may be totally off but just a suggestion...once I thought my crank/crank pulley was messed-up....it vibrated like a bastard...ran real ruff...turned out I had fouled spark plugs...thats all...I may be way off if its accident related but its worth a check.....
