MPFI swap on auto CRX - where to put transmission cable?
I just completed my mpfi swap on my automatic CRX. I took it for a test drive and it seems like the transmission doesn't know when to upshift. In domestics its called a passing gear, but its like my car doesn't have one.
I'm not sure what the cable is called, but it connects to my transmission, and I don't know where to hook it to. I've got the throttle cable hooked up, but its the other cable that I'm having problems with.
Is there a bracket I need to get to mount this cable on the intake manifold, or do I need to rig something up?

Thats the kick down cable and it should attach to the throttle body just like it did on the dpfi one. You might have to find a throttle body off a automatic EX or similar.
Also, what ECU did you use?

I used a PS9 ecu. The problem I'm having is that there is no place to mount the cable. Do the EX throttle bodies have a place to mount it, or do I need to rig something up?
I sent you a pm. If you cant swap the mech of the dpfi tb then I would look for an auto EX one. Possible an auto 92+ if the newer autos also have the kick down cable. Anyone know?
I tried rigging up a bracket off the old dpfi manifold, but its like I'm not getting full throttle when I mash the gas.
Does anyone know if the 92+ auto throttle bodies will work, or do i need to pick up a 90-91 Civic EX auto one?
