Ings carbon GT wing.

Let the comments begin. Function over fashion, though to me I love the way it looks. I'm not into drag racing so the extra drag placed on the rear end does not concern me, as it is a big + when actually driving the car for how it was designed. This was a part of my birthday presents to myself. The other gifts were the Mugen Active Gate front rotors, Mugen rear slotted rotors, Mugen front TypeC pads, TypeS rear pads and the Mugen stainless mesh brake lines.

Nice, I am not a fan of wings myself but broke down and bought a carbon fiber DC5R wing for function over form. I need a little bit more drag on the rear when doing a course down here in Arizona.
haven't heard from you in a while bro, how is the car treating you?

Well as you can see, the car is still at Honda.
7 months of waiting. The engine is back in the car and I think Saturday I finally get it back. On the 2nd rebuild, they took out my K2s and are giving me a set of ITR cams for free, so I am just going to sell the K2s. They only have 225miles on them.
The wing fits perfectly, have you not looked at the mounting points on the stock wing? it too rolls over the hatch opening and aligns itself with the quarter panel.
Well I was going to get the Mugen wing actually, and the Mugen is carbonfiber, the carbon is not a finished carbon and needs to be painted to look presentable. This wing costs more than the Mugen, but after painting, the Mugen would end up a little more costly. Since my hood is Ings, I decided to stay in the family and have matching carbon at the front and rear of the car.

I can tell you that they do run cooler than the OEM rotors. I've only tracked them a couple of times, along with the MicroMesh lines, Type C's as well, and it was a great improvement over OEM. No noticable fade, and I was able to touch the rotors shortly after the session, and they were barely warm.

over there) and I have to say it is awsome. Your car is like my idol lol
Got any more news on when you get it back from the shop?
Oh yea.... IMO circuit > 1320 too

Well I am still waiting on the front rotors to arrive to the dealer. Everything else has arrived. Operating temps Type C is 100-700C and TypeS is 100-650C.
Well Honda was closed today (normal for Tuesday) and closed tomorrow, so my friend said most likely this Saturday. Unfortunately I can't participate in the gymkana on the 9th of this month with the Honda mechanics. Need to still break the engine in. Oh well, a bit disappointed though.
The new rebuild was because, I got the car back on the 30th of April and turned it back in on the 2nd of May. Rod-knock again, bad rebuild I suppose, as it was cylinder 1 that gave way. During the gymkana cylinders 2 & 3 bearings gave out, definitely oil starvation with the high g loads.
The Mugen and Ings wings are similar. The endplates are different whereas the Mugen goes small front to big rear and the Ings are big front to smaller rear (does that make sense?) The actual wing element is close, both have the rake in the middle front and thin down moving to the rear section with a small roll-up.
Once it is broken in, I will get up some video of the car again. Probably some touge running.

Hey bro, to help aid you in oil starvation why not invest in a oil cooler and aftermarket oil pump like a accusump?
For the time being my oil cooler is doing fine, but will soon be joined by a oil pump to help assure no oil is lose during hard turning.
Hell, I need to go to okinawa to see your car bro.

Couple pics taken with my phone, sorry the quality is not so good.

I also installed the Mugen components on Saturday afternoon while the car was sitting at the dealer. Friend was still messing with the engine and instead of paying for labor to install the brake pieces, I just did it myself. Left my camera at home, but next time down at the dealer I will take some pics. The front rotors are not really lighter at all, if any than the stock rotors, but definitely the design is superior, the heat will just shed away. Rear rotors are just normal Honda rotors with the 5 slits.
It appears something is still not right with the engine, so I have no idea when I will ever drive my car again, it is so annoying. Over 7 months now. They are now closed for the next few days for a national holiday.
