getting e-brake cable detached from rear trailing arm

getting e-brake cable detached from rear trailing arm
im taking the trailing arms out and i cant get the bracket on the end of the cables to come through the arm. does anybody know how to remove it , i hope the answer isnt that i have to detach the cables at the ebrake. any suggestions
