Default Accord H22 vs RSX Type-S

The video hasn't been uploaded to my comp yet.
However, i thought some of you would like to know.

I raced (drag - straight line) with an RSX Type-S (stock) (white)
My Accord has 1 1/4 exhaust pipe (very restrictive) and an H22 which is all stock.

I had a better launch the 1st time, and beat the RSX by 2 car lengths.
The second time he had a better launch, and i only managed to beat him by 1.5 car lenghts. I am suprised, i never expected to beat him. Now some of you can dream of what the potential an H22 can do.

RSX Type S has 200hp at the crank, 142 ft lbs, and the car should weigh around 2750.

Nice kill

Contrary to popular belief, the Type-S isn't very quick. They are very decent right off the factory line, but I wouldn't consider it "the car to beat." All power, no torque... makes me cringe. Congrats on a working H22 swap tho.

K20a2 142 lb/ft

H22a1: 156 lb/ft

Yeah, I know the incredible potential of the K-series, but I'm partial to having more torque than hp, like what can be found in the F-series. As my brother continues to mod his F23, the torque numbers continue to outpace the hp gains. The car pulls just as hard at 2000 rpms as at 5K. It's great fun on the street, and you don't have to always gear down to get that top end power, not to mention sounding like you're trying to lift off the ground and fly away. Torque gets you out of the hole. Torque gets you to 60. Torque lets you jump ahead of your opponent at every shift instead of lose time. If you've never had to oportunity to drive a car with a motor that does this, then you are really missing out. Just my 2 cents, not tryin to hate.

i think its an 03 RSX, its the 200HP edition.
he has the Type-R Wing, and the DC5 Type-R Wheels (Honda)

i thought with my tiny exhaust he would beat me. However i didn't really start pulling on him until 3rd gear, it was close, but at 4th gear i begin pulling more.

I also have LSD which may help a little bit. in the beginning anyways. (he did launch better than me the 2nd time, maybe i shouldn't rev to 4500rpm lol)

my wheel hop is horrible, the only mod i have is an H22 w/lsd.

cars has steelies with hubcaps, not lowered, but stock struts are still stiff. 1 1/4 exhaust pipe. Stanley headlights, black housing etc... and my tires are crap, but i must say sumitomo tires have little tread wear.

Good Race the type S is not that slow and im pretty sure your accord weighs less still the K seems to have better tq numbers thats surprising but its all about that weight to power good job, you also have the advantage when racing from a dig

The H (2.2L) has better tq numbers, not the K (2.0L). It was close.

As much as a CRX.... NOPE try again bud. The lightest model (the DX) still weighs in at at least 2850 or so. But that is a drivers race. Sure the H has a bit more tq BUT the RSX has A bit less weight. Also you need at least I/E/H for the H to put down between 170~175 to the wheels while an RSX will put those kind of numbers down in BONESTOCK form. All in All A good kill IMO

my h22 is bone stock if not less, it has 1 1/4 exhaust pipe, a lot of restriction, no intake, all stock, no header........all stock, and i still beat the rsx, not one upgrade.
