Default Installing Energy Suspension Motor Mount Inserts

1994 Integra LS

The A/C mount was a bish. The motor doesn't drop low enough so that I could slip the mount in or out. The chassis is in the way, no matter how much bending I did, it just wouldn't work. Any body ever run into this problem? Must I take out the entire A/C condenser? =/

Instead of doing outside and in, I should have tried putting the mount above the bolt and then trying to slip it in? hmm.. why didn't I think of this b4... probably wouldn't work anyway? any suggestions?

AC mount is easy, if you have having issues with this mount dont even bother with the other mounts espically the rear.

You have the main 19mm bolt that goes through the mount, then you have the two 14mm that hold the mount to the frame. If you undo all of these the mount will come right off. You have to wiggle and turn rotate the mount a little, but nothing major. This should be very easy.

well I just did my energy suspension mounts + prothane top mounts and they were indeed a bish.

We did the top one above the belts first, slipped it in, and then did the bottom ones last.

Bare in mind we were rebuilding the engine and was dropping it in, so we had much more freeplay / etc than your situation.

I think Team-Integra has an article on how to install the mounts?

Not enough clearance... yes it did "come right off" considering there was nothing in the actual mount, but getting a good mount in was the issue. There wasn't enough space to simply slip it in...

I'm trying to avoid having to drop the engine to create clearance...

Once you remove the bolts that hold the mount onto the frame the engine will drop down a little. I know i did not have to remove to move anything else.

You removed all three bolts right??? when you removed the upper bolts did the motor drop a little???
