Hey, I'm Currently working a 91 crx Daily driver/autocross car until I can get all the information I need to Build a Full on autocross car. For my daily driver I have parts that include:
KYB GR2 shocks
Eibach Sportline springs
Suspension techniques sway bar kit
Energy Master bushing kit
Tanabe Front and rear strut tower bars
Eibach Allignment kit (Rear)
I'm looking into some other parts such as:
Tie rod ends
Adjustable front uper control arms
Tension rods
Willwood Rotor upgrade
Calipers of some sort not sure atm( I heard spoon makes some?)
Not sure on what kinda tire to use ( potenza,proxes,Yokohama's...etc.)
Rims not sure (I was looking into Rota SS's but I've heard to many bad things kina scary so maybe spoons if i can find a set of used 1's)
ANY information is welcomed, Keep in mind this is my daily driver (But Please feel free to comment if you think the choices I Made In This setup were wrong or could be better) and I'm looking for input on a car I'm about to Invest a lot of money and time into building. I purchased a 91 shell and am in the process of stitch welding it, so any Strengthening Information is welcomed to.
Thanks for the help

Hey are you going to autoX out at bremerton raceway? You should find out what class you want to race in then figure out what mods you can do to your car. But the only thing that i would change is the shocks the gr2 shock is a improved oem shock.
WA guy checking in! Is there some place online that you can find classing information as it pertains to mods? Like what mods are allowed in each class.
For autocross performance, the upgrade of the tires and performance shocks will make the biggest difference and should be done ASAP and before some of your other items.
As mentioned above, the KYB GR2 is not a performance unit but a very basic replacement level non-performacne shock. I woud suggest that a rebound adjustable shock will make the most benefit as you can tune the car's handling for control and rotationfor autocross but then soften it a bit for the street use.

I Just called inlinefour there sending me a set of Tokico illuminas. I've heard that the illuminas are good as well as yellows but freinds I've talked to, have said they didn’t like there yellows. So I'm going to give the illuminas a try.
also people are saying I shouldn't use a suspension techniques front sway bar any reason why this might be?

Yeah, don't use the SusTech front sway bar. Matter of fact, a lot of people even take off their stock sway bar for autocross. You get better turn-in that way.

In autocross, getting as much rotation into the car and minimizing understeer in car is goint to be key to get it to turn quickly and apply power. Adding an increased size front bar will dial in more understeer. In most racing packages that need neutrality to mild oversteer, you will find many fwd racers minimizing the front sway bar (unless really softly sprung) and maximizing the rear to help with rotation. If the car is very softly sprung, having no front bar can make it body roll more so you have to decide which you'd prefer to deal with: a rotating car with more body roll or a flatter car with more understeer.
