bushing kits?
i have a 90 crx si, i plan on doing some autox but mainly want to to handle better. i plan on changing the tokiko (sp?) blues out for a set of adjustable agx, and a set of springs that will bring it down mayb 1 - 1 1/2 inch. i am also thinking of suspension tech adjustable sway bars front and rear, and front and lower rear strut bars. one thing im prob going to do soon is a full enegry suspension kit for it, since the car is 11 yrs old i think that would help it some, does this sound like a good plan? does anyone recomend anyother company? also later on i want to step up to slotted rotors and ss breaklines. thanks
I take it you're going to either do autocrossing, track events, or road racing?
Anyway...
1. Many of us here (myself included) are running coilover sleeves with custom-rate springs. So I don't know what to tell you on a spring that gives you x inches of drop.
2. Adjustable swaybars can't be anything but good.
3. I like my energy suspension bushings A LOT. Prothane makes similar stuff. Unless you're getting custom offset stuff, either one should be fine.
4. Slotted rotors are a waste of money. For all kinds of racing all the time.

I concur with all of krshultz's comments.
The bushings sohuld make a significant difference on a car that old - even new stock bushings would make the car handle better.

Just to add to the comments. Don't waste money on a front sway bar. It will only make the car push more than it already does. Leave the stock one on the front and get an adjustable rear bar.
ok, thanx guys, i really dont like the coil overs, just kinda want a set rate, so ill add the bushing kit and a rear bar, anything else i should add? what about the brakes? from the racing i have been doing (quads for 10 yrs) i can feel a difference with the stainless steel lines, but i heard cross drilled warped if they got wet, so thats why i was going to go with slotted, any kind of conversion i can go with thats simple (bolt on) that will make it better? again thanx for the info, prob ordering the bushing kit today

brake rotors - get quality replacement OEM pieces. Honda or Brembo are the most commonly used. Don't bother with slotting or drilling, waste of money IMO. Add some good fluid (Motul 600, ATE SuperBlue, FOrd HD, Castrol SRF) and good street pads (Hawk HP+, Carbotech, etc). As for SS lines, I only use them on race-only cars where they get inspected and replaced often.
Check http://www.fastbrakes.com for info on big brake kits. Not really needed, the CRX stops pretty well with stock hardware.

Are you autocrossing in stock classes? I thought an entire poly bushing set would place out of that class, though... Anyone?

SP rule: "Suspension bushings may be replaced with bushings of any materials (except metal) as long as they fit in the original location."
Not stock legal ('cept for the front sway bar bushings), but OK in street prepared, which is where it sounds like stockcrix1616's CRX is heading with springs and strut bars.
i really dont care what class it puts me in, im just in it for fun,
but i want to keep the stock look to it, except for a set of new si rims, eevn the motor work i plan on doin will not be noticable, full sleeper, well thanx guy, this helps, if you have any more info keep it comming
