Default obd1 block w/ obd2 ecu knock sensor woes

where can i place the knock sensor from my 99 si stock ecu/wiring harness into my obd1 b18a block? The oil press sensor has no threaded hole near it, only the unused sensor thats connected to the large allen plug (the holes for a block heater). and that hole is far to large to fit the knock sensor into.

There is a blank spot on the block's backside that you can have a machine shop tap into for the knock.

can i bore and tap a hole in the head that i'm not using, or is the head too 'loud' for the kock sensor to function?
