Default Difference between 88-91 Si and DX head?

I found a cheap 88-91 CRX DX head (automatic tranny). I wanted to get it and play around with it...possibly work on it and install it on my 91 Civic Si.

Question is, outside of the cam/injection, is there any difference between the two heads (DX and Si)?

You guys are 100% sure on this, right? No port differences, valves, etc...

I think the valve springs might be different. Reasoning: the 92-95 dx head is the same casting with a different cam and in 92-93 the valve springs were different and in 94-95 the valve springs were the same as a d16a6 head. Because of this is why I suspect the 88-91 dx valve springs to be different from the si, if not then the 92-93 probably would have been the same too. Call Honda and check part numbers.

they are for sure the same head, however the cam and valve springs were different. however, if you now go to honda to get replacement valve springs for the DX head, they now offer up Si springs as the replacement to consolidate part #s, but from the factory, the DX had the weaker cam and springs, despite being the same casting and porting.

The only differenc in head is int the HF head.. Its only 8 valve and the intake ports are smaller but the dx and si heads should be the same, Im planing an replacing my dx head with and Si just because I have the Si head and the DX one has problems
