Accord f22b2 Turbo. How much pis is too much for stock?
I posted this in forced induction but wanted to get some more insite from people who are more familier with my engine and haveing a turbo. Anyways like the title says i have a 95 4door accord with a garret t3 .48/.42 6x22x3 1/2 intercooler and am currently boosting 5psi of boost with a base map. Im using and apexi afac2 and a msd BTM to help the detonation out along with dsm 440cc injectors. Last time i did a compression test all cyclinders were fairly equal except for cyclinder 3 which was no more than 6 lower that the other cyclinders but this was before the turbo. the engine has 97,xxx miles on it and is all stock and i know it has a compression ratio of 8/8/1. On monday im going to get it dynotuned and i want to put to boost up to 10psi or possibly 12psi. This is a daily driven car and starting augest will be going about 20 miles two times out of the week for school. Would it be safe to run the engine at 10 or 12psi with proper tuning? I want to know from the experts before i do something stupid. Thanks in advance. Also do you guys think the MSD Boost Timing Master I have will help with the detonation issue and make it safe to be boosting 10 or 12 psi in conjunction with proper tuning? Most of all i want a stable engine that can survive this semester of commuting for school.
PS: I know i put "Pis" in the title instead of psi

honestly, you can find out how much PSI just by searching...theres about a dozen active threads that ask the same question.
