Good luck.

what he said. when you "Start" it with the plugs out it should shoot the water out as long as he hasn't been trying to crank it over again and again.

What difference would it make if he was trying to crank it over and over again?
So long as the rings aren't frozen in the cylinders, water will shoot out of the plug holes.

One could, but it'd be a waste of time.
The majority of the water will be shot out of the combustion chamber when the engine is cranked over a few times.

Rain is not a big problem, just stay out of puddles that go half way up the wheel and other substantial flooding.
When in doubt and if at all possible you can always disconnedt the intake at the TB/IM just so you don't suck up the big stuff on the way home.

First time ever hearing that term... I thought it was called a combustion chamber
As for sucking water thru the AEM CAI... that must have been one hell of a lake!
5, Five years and never had a problem with mine.
as for getting the water out... take out plugs disconnect distrib and crank til it's dry. Pray you did not do any damage to the rods or worse.

Combustion chamber is where combustion happens, "spark plug cavity" would be where the "spark plug" goes.

If he treats your car this way, he is not your "friend".
Take it to the best mechanic in your area to get it fixed. After all, your "friend" is going to pay for the repair, right?

Wait I'm in FL and I never have a problem. If you use a little common sense you won't have a problem. If your an idiot then hey that's gonna cost you. Worst case scenario, push in the clutch or shut the car off when your about to hit a big puddle. I don't see what the deal is with people being scared with a CAI.
We just put a used engine in a gsr last week for a doctor. If you live where it floods alot when it rains it will happen. There isn't much you can do about it sometimes. The doctor said hell with this and bought a full factory intake system for his car. Yes, I have worked for a Honda/Acura dealer for ten years now.
