Default 800 whp on a street car?

im currently completing my setup once again, hoping to make insane power out of my daily driven b-series. my last setup made over 600 and was daily driven....im going w/ a much bigger turbo and some other mods ive done some research on...

what i was wondering.... has anyone achieved 800 whp or more on a REAL street car?

not a semi race car that people throw tires on and hop on the street. but im talking about a pretty much daily driven car.

i hope my setup will do that or come close, only bad thing is it looks like my turbo will have some lag to get me there heh. results will be soon, im bringing in the best honda tuner when he finally gets some free time....

I would say Geoff's car from full-race is the closest that "I" know of, it's making
close to 800whp and he drives it everyday. He does race it and it's modified to
try and harness the power but it is dailey driven.

If you have the money you can make any amount of power on a "real" street car. I can promise you that if you are running 800whp on a street car it will not (no way in hell) be on pump gas. But that goes back to if you have the money. If I had the money to run race gas all the time on the street then yea I would have an 700whp+ street car too.

ricers with money.....that's all it is

until you have a chassis that will be able to USE that much power (i.e Courtney/Ggeoff) then why bother with it? Anything over 325ish whp = burnouts for a street driven honda..unless you're rolling on some 235/60's drag radials...it's just pointless.

I made 800hp SAE corrected. 720hp uncorrected actuall hp. This is in a SFWD/T4 race car that I drive on the streets. And yes you need all that power to be competetive. The car has ran 151mph in the 1/4 with only 114mph in the 1/8.

well, i guess i could be wrong BUT i live in South Florida, i'm in the race scene but i've only seen that car twice. both times at a race/hang out spot. once it was on a trailer and the other time he stopped at the hang out spot briefly.

besides, driving a competitive, 800hp car, daily ...... is not wise at all.

He lives in Utah, I seriously doubt he drives to south Florida to hang out at the Circle K and wait for street races.

Why you people try and make sense out of what someone else is doing with their car is beyond me. We all mod cars to go faster and when somone makes thier street car a competitive race car you all jump on the bandwagon of saying 800whp on the street is useless. No ****, that is why he turns the boost down and drives daily on it. When the power is needed he has it there, that's why he has 800whp.

I guess we could always limit T4 and sfwd to 400whp since no street car on earth should ever have more power than that.

I know its no honda but If i remeber correctly a recent issue of import tuner had some ridiculously high horse power supras ranging from 900 to well over a 1000 hp. Two of the 900 hp were daily driven cars or so they said.

Marko drove his 1500whp Supra to Nopi St louis last weekend from Chicago and ran mid 9's at 160mph on the same Nittos he drove down on. Then slapped on some BFG's and ran a 8.7@160mph. I'd say that's a street car.

stop by and visit us - i will give you the list of what you need to make 800 whp - it will probably scare you away

really no reason to have 800 whp in a daily driven street car - if you are competitively racing it that is one thing but to just say you have it that is a waste, not like you can ever even really use 800 whp in a street car

we have a 700 whp civic here that we compete with on the NDRA and NHRA series - doesn't ever see the street due to the value of it to myself and john, not worth taking a risk of someone running into it or something to that effect on the street but it is as street legal is they come
