gettin MP3 plyer into radio?
I have a 2003 Odyssey. It has a radio with cd player. What is the best way
to get a mp3 player into the audio system? Is there a good phase locked FM
transmitter to use? I got a cheap FM transmitter that plugs in to lighter
but its really crappy and drifts of station every few minutes. Arre the good ones easy to install? I assume they are hardwired and not just plugged into cigarette lighter.
any thoughts?

Yeah I have one of those shitty ones too, they work better on cars with the antenna up front rather than the electric one in the back like my teg.
There are other fm modulators which you plug your antenna cable directly into, then all you need to do is connect one positive wire.
Alternatively you could just get a proper in-dash mp3 player, they're getting pretty cheap these days.

well... there are a few options for the best quality sound for a portatble mp3 player in a vehicle.
1. get a nice head unit with aux input (alpine
)
2. get a wired fm modulator
3. use the tape thinggy...
I am using a decently good alpine headunit with an aux input using AI-net. i highly recommend that. Other companies that i know of that support auxillary inputs in their high end models are... kenwood, blaupunkt, pioneer, sony, jvc, and panasonic. Good luck with your mp3 clarity problems. i hope it helped.

no more cassette player....went the way of the 8 track. The quality FM transmitter works but then your losing a lot of fidelity as FM doesnt contain the entire bandwidth. And the cost of FM txmitter starts to approach the cost of a new radio that has a aux input. Then the problem is that there are so many radios to choose from!
how are the JVC HU's. I have a panasonic that is cd changer ready, but i cant figure out how, or if it works to adapt the cd changer plug. i was looking at this http://cgi.ebay.com/Auxiliary-...wItem, but i dont know if it will fit, so i am looking for another unit.
