Default Use OBDO harness for d16z6 swap?

I've read that you're supposed to use the OBDO engine harness and modify it to fit the d16z6 when you're going OBDI.

How exactly do you do this?

Is it just a matter of lengthing certain wires etc?

How do you get it to match up to the OBDI distributor?

It seems to me that you'll need the OBDI harness plugs to do this properly.

Looking for some advice here!

Default Re: Use OBDO harness for d16z6 swap? (Jonathan_ED3)

basically u use ur old harness. if its dpfi u need to ad 2 wires for injectors. and 2 wires for the crank angle sensor.

after ur harness is mpfi u need a obd0-obd1 conversion harness. it allows u to run a obd1 ecu. ull need to run extra wires for the vtec solenoid and the 4 wire o2 sensor

to use the obd1 distributor u either hafto change the clip on the distributor to the obd0 one or change the clip on the harness to the obd1 one.

im doin the same swap
