Default How will this perform on a stock GSR set up???

Some one I know is selling the CAT back exhaust - which is 3” pipe after CAT and a magnaflow muffler (made by Kteller). How good will this set up is in a stock GSR setup?

Will there be some gains/losses? Any idea as how its going to sound?

Just want to make sure that I will not be loosing anything because of the larger piping in a stock GSR set up.

Btw, I am planning to go for a 4-1 header soon. Also, I am NOT planning to change the stock CAT because of the STS auto-x class I am running

Thanks a lot

dude, don't get it unless you're gonna go turbo. and don't plan on putting that on your all motor GSR. i have a 3" thermal too and i'm not gonna even think about putting it on(from my recent turbo setup).

you'll go no where and loose majority of your useful powerband. not to mention it won't even fit on your stock piping and it'll be LOUD as hell!!

If you car is stock, leave it as is. Unless you really want a loud exhaust then run open header (ROFL)--- Or get a fartcan. Both will attract unwanted attention especially from cops.

One of my buddies had a 2.5" piping on a stock GSR motor and things ( sound, gains etc) looked OK at that time. Is there a big difference between 2.5 and 3.00" piping?

thanks

you only need a 2.25" at best. 3" on stock gsr is ridiculous and useless.

Not if his car is stock.

If you have a turbo car, then I would def. agree.

Most are 60mm or 2.3xxxx".

The turbo versions usually come in 80mm.

The bigger is better normally/only applies in turbo applications.

If you are staying all- motor, sell the 3" for a nice 2.5" setup. Make sure you get the a header with a 2.5" collector also.
