Default Tranny help please....

I'm sorry for posting this in here (Integra forum as well), thought I would get the answer here faster. My father in laws tranny on his 2000 Integra LS automatic went out. Will a 96-99 OBD2a automatic trans work in his car? Does the OBD2b or OBD2a in anyway effect the trans? Thanks for any help. I have searched too.

If the block is the same then it should bolt up. As for working ...
Now that I think of it, I don't really know.

I think he should just do the conversion. Most Integra enthusiasts prefer the manual gearbox over the automatic.
