It's a JVC KD-LX30 in a 94 Civic(EJ2),the installation sleeve came today,the sleeve is in the dash and secured,I slide the HU in but I don't feel it "snap" and being secured.Can anyone help me?

 

You may not hear anything, if it will not slide out easy, it is locked in, don't forget to install the back brace. 94

 

yea the thing is it still slides,I don't know how it is when I drive the car but I can def push it out from the inside easily

 

It may be the wrong sleeve for the HU, or the "lock tabs" are bent out to far. But as long as unit is not sloppy in the sleeve, [nice tight fit] if you install the back brace, it will be rock solid, if you look here you will see how the stock unit was braced http://www.installdr.com/Insta...7.pdf and that is all Honda uses to keep the unit in place, you will just use a "L" bracket and mount it to the convenient center spot 94
