is it just my car or does dc2 headlights suck?
i have been trying to adjust my headlights forever and it just never seems to get what i want...when i point them high enough, the beam isnt strong enough to see far, when i point it to the point where i can see, it points straight to the ground...i just dont feel safe driving it at night where there is no street lights...are your experiences the same?
due to this i have been looking into getting a hid kit...which kit is good on the market because i dont personally know anyone who has a kit...will i benefit alot?

My friend complained about the same thing on his ep3. He got some silverstar and said it was a nice improvement. He also got the fog light kit shortly after. That combined, he was satisfied.
The silverstars have a hid appearence. If fact, that's what I thought they were when I first saw them.

if you are planning to go with a HID kit make sure its a plug and play kit that way u dont have to splice any wires. i have an HID kit on my car i went with the mcculloch hid kit just because i personally think mcculloch has one of the best ballast but i spent alil more money for it. you can basically go with any kit but dont go too cheap because they will rip you off with the bulbs (bulb will blow). also if you live where there arent alot of street lights you should go with a 4300k kit (ultra white).
adjusting the headlights wont do anything for you. actually you will end up screwing the alignment if yuo dont know what you are doing.
yes, all integras stock halogen projectors suck! no matter if it is a dc2 or other.
if you are going for HID - Remember to search. the kits are OK but i would recommend going for the retrofit. check this thread out https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1108424
retrofits will give you better output and no or less glare than the kits.
just to ***** my car
here are a couple of pics of my s2k retrofit

Lol, anyone who thinks the stock DC2 projectors suck, needs to drive an older cars with incandescent reflectors, or even halogen reflectors. Halogen projectors are incredible compared to anything else thats not HID. And if you want HID, just retro fit some in, its much easier to change projectors than it is to put projectors in a reflector based headlight.
To properly adjust the stock lights, park the car 20 feet from the wall, and aim them so the cutoff line is 2 inches below the headlight. Meaning, you measure your headlight height from the ground, and aim them to hit the wall 2 inches lower than that.
Personally, I'm running a set of PIAA 9005 "Extreme White" bulbs in my stock projectors, and the difference is certainly worth it. I don't care that they are "whiter", I just like how much brighter they are, and they do help with the unlit I15 freeway.

i have piaa bulbs ultra white bulbs too...im not satisfied at all, especially on freeways it can get dangerous...is the installation hard on retrofits? like the s2ks?...how does price compare from retros to kits? what would u have to do to installl retrofits(not even sure if its a valid question)?.....im a newbie to this kind of stuff...just put my turbo in so looking into the safety area of the car now
just convert some high beams into ur low beam socket. When i did that, it was a world of difference. I can see so much better now and i could care less for HIDs cuz it was a cheap mod with good output.
