ls vtec vs. gsr
Depends on your budget and what u want ta do to the motor. Ls/vtec's are some strong *** motors if built properly, but gsr motors can produce some big hp #'s also. So it really depends on your budget and hwtau want.
Unless you are goign to make DAMN sure that it is done right then I'd go with a GSR. LSvtec's are really only worth the time and effort if you are goign to run high CR in my opinion.
which ever one you can get your hands on...if built right. BOTH motors can pull good numbers and good times. I would peice together a vtec motor though...ls/vtec or gsr dont matta.

GSR block and LS crank. doesnt cost as much as you would think. you can pick up a complete GSR block for 400 and ad ls internals and you have the best of both worlds. PLus you dont have to mess around with the conversion. Total cost is prety close when you factor in the vtec conversion parts.
i run ls/vtec but i think you would be better off keeping what you have now. i dont think all the extra money you will spend on swaping a ls block in would be worth the little amount of gains you will see
