Default stupid question...

we alwys see EG, EK, etc. in different threads. i know that refers to the unibody of a civic. do del sols have the same classifications? curious and trying to learn a lil here & there. thanks guys in advance.

the eg or ek refers to the chassie code not unibody but not sure about the del sol never thought about it

i actually assumed it reffered to the engine bay area of the chassis (chassis is the unibody). but yeah, i've been curious about that for quite some time. you'd think w/ the same motor & suspension, sols would also use the same chassis (@ least in the engine bay)

incredible. thank you. so it's an EG1? i never have hear anyone refer to a de, sol that way. now i know, thank you.

alot of people here refer to them as an eg2 or eg9, since everyones all about Jdm.

EG1 is the del sol S and Si, and EG2 is the VTEC (b16) sol.

Yeah. I'm not sure if its jdm fever or ignorance (most likely both), but everyone seems to refer to all 92-95 civics as eg's, 6th gen as ek's, and so on.
