Default potential of EG

i am planning to buy this car that has about 190,000 miles on it. he recently changed both axles, timing belt, full exhaust system, radiator, O2 sensor, and rear breaks. I personally haven't drove this car, but i am thinking about boosting this if i ever get it. So is this car worth while checking it out or should i look for a car with lower mileage? this guy lives a bit far away from me, so i don't want to make a trip that turns out to be nothing. also, how much hp should i expect if i ended up boosting with stock internals and greddy kit? thanks.

sorry. i am new to civic. i had teg before i sold it. haven't been to ht for over 4 months. anyways, it's ex couple. so i guess it's d16? not sure. but i am not planning to do any motor swap anytime soon. if i ever do, it'll probably be LS. I know hondas last forever. I had my teg over 140,000 and had no problem, but never boosted. Thanks

mileage means nothing really here, if you are going to boost that thing then you are going to have to build it all anyways so yeah i guess go with that since the high mileage will keep the price down.... sohc turbos are for ******, get a b series so you arent a joke, you can get a whole swap for less than $1800... the car cant possibly be more than $2000 with miles like that...

ok Sohc Turbos arent for pussies, you make more power for less then a any B series engine. Dont get me wrong I would love to have B series but a turbo Dseries can smoke alot of Bseries hatches...
