Has anyone in an Integra had their Omnipower omni power coilovers break???
Read these two threads this morning regarding omnipower full coilovers breaking in two:
https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=1
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1209644
I know many in the integra forum have sang the praises of the omni power sports coilovers, including myself since I've had them on for about two months.
but now I'm very concerned
and I'm looking for feedback as to whether I should take them off my teg...very disappointed reading this stuff

yes...very
I drive my teg aggresively and at speed sometimes....now I'm wondering if I should take these off, and start shopping for another set.

Damn I just put mines in last weekend now I am scared I got the Type R Sports on my EG hatch....Im gonna check them out this weekend
i have had the omni sports on for a long time now and all of the cases of omnis breaking is most likely all user error. The omni's are built strong and stiff and ive driven the hell out of my car sometimes and they hold up great.

have you read the two threads I linked above?
these are pros so it's not used error.
also they broke in a place where user error is not so much a factor, even if the person putting it on is a moron...which was not the case above.
but thanks, I'm looking for feedback so how many miles have you put on your omni's and what type of driving do you do?

yeah I don't really wnat to hear anymore user error bullshit...shocks/suspension is not that hard to put on correctly, and shouldn't be snapping in two....
but I'm looking for daily driven average horsepower integra experiences with these since the cars in the threads linked above were high horsepower cars.
I would love to hear some assurances from a Omnipower rep or even omniman himself that this won't happen to my teg as long as I keep it under 250 hp to the wheels...
or am I asking for too much

Well I just called Omnipower and spoke to Bob since I have the Omnipower Type R full coilovers on my 94 Hatch...I was told that the collars I have on my setup are the old collars not the 10mm.
So I would suggest to anyone who has them to give Omnipowerusa a call the number is: 951.956.6554 Omnipowerusa or go to http://www.omnipowerusa.com
I was told by Bob to email him my info and they will send me the new updated 10mm collars.
I will post again when I get a response from Omnipowerusa.
But to who anyone who has the Omnipowers just take a few minutes and make that call is better to be safe than sorry.

good info, thanks man
really wish omnipower would just recall the lower collars since they're a problem...that way anyone with the lower collars can just return them and get the newer ones no matter how they bought them to begin with.

they wont be recalled a lot of these have no problems whats so ever.
sadly a lot of info wasnt put into those post. and yeah a 900whp ish car that runs mid to high 9 secs broke a set of collars. there is more then just what's posted
if anyone with omnipower feels uncomfortable or unsafe.
1 - contact the dealer you bought them from first nad they can help you get taken care of. its that simple.
2 - if you bought them from some middle man odd ball and cant get any help, tisk tisk on you for tying to save a penny.. lol.. give omnipower a call and honestly tell them, so they can work with you~
anyone has any questions, please pm me. ill be more then glad to help anyone i can.
90% of the collars out there are safe and there isnt any worries, but myself and i know omnipower wants you to feel 100% secure with your ride.
blueprint: whoever broke those, should contacted their dealer. who i would guess was camp1320 by your prasies and sig. which is probally why you got no support. just my 2 cents i know you dont care

thank you for responding in my thread
and for being willing to help...I feel much better after being quite concerned most of the day
I was just contacted by a Omni power dealer/representative, and they are standing behind their product, so I look forward to keep using my omni powers with the replacement cups

definitely looks good....
negative situations happen, and it's good to see a company/retailer deal with them in the right way

ive drove on mine for maybe 1000-2000miles and have had absolutely no problems. i havent put THAT many miles on them but i drove hard since ive gotten them and see no signs of failure.
things malfunction, its not ALWAYS the company's fault. until i see some more proof i have no reason not to trust omni.
