Default Crx Pedal Assembly

I have a 89 Crx Dx, I'm currently converting it to manual. I about to install the manual pedals, is there anything special about installing it?

oh man your in for a treat i had to weld my pedal assembly when it broke not to long ago. so i had to take the whole pedal assembly out. not easy the first time.
second i hope u have small fingers and tools, your definetely gonna need universal joints. a small flash light to hold in your mouth and your gonna have to remove your steering wheel (which isnt all that hard at all) your gonna have to bring down your steering column to get it out b/c part of the pedal assembly hooks around it. also all the ac ducts that run under there were officially in the way so i just chunked them out.u also have to unscrew the brake booster from the engine bay b/c the bolts that hold the pedal assembly go to the other side. go to honda have them pull up a pic of the pedal assembly and use that as your guide i did. its like the blue prints they were great help. also search for an old post of mine youll find my questions in there. remember i never did this auto to manual swtch though, my case was that i had to repair the back plate on my clutch pedal.

good luck by the way

I just did this not too long ago. Make sure to drop your steering column. Your gonna have to yank out a vent "tube" that runs underneath your dash that runs to your door vent i believe. Once thats clear, you can unbolt all of the bolts on the firewall (lots of extensions) then theres one bolt thats on the upper portion of the assembly which is why u have to drop the column. If you lay down on the floormat and look straight up ,you'll see it. As far as yanking it out, have patience, it can be a bitch. Use your existing brake pedal then put it all back together.

You dont have to unbolt the brake pedal from the firewall, i dunno if that makes it easier? but all you have to do is take out the bitch pin that keeps the brake pedal in place and wedge the assembly outta there with ur brake pedal at the firewall.
