Default How not to shift!

Close friend of mine thinks that slamming the tranny into gear and not lifting off the gas when shifting is the fastest way to better E.T's. So I had to put another tranny in for him because he mechanically challenged, but wants to drive like this. It just sucks though because I put a clutch and flywheel in his car last week and this week he does this. What are friends for though right.......

Oh yeah the tech part: Don't shift like an *******.

my zdyne has an option for FTS it actually works quite well but it hold the RPMs right before my where my next gear its a really fast shift. Its deffenitally not good for your clutch and tranny though... on that note drag racing is not good for your tranny neither is any high rev gear banging

If it is a SOHC, swap in a four speed and call it a day Tell him the fifth gear will only activate during mad vtec runs nearing 88 mph.

Stock clutch was put in.
Its an LS tranny the good part is we got another tranny for a decent price.
We got a 90 ls tranny, intermediate shaft, rear tranny bracket, clutch cable, a bunch of interior peices all for $150 bucks.
We had to pull the tranny out at the junkyard though but still can't beat the price.

what fuckass. but hey whatever.....I think you got some serious alliance. After 2g's invested into a car no one gets the keys, unless they are me, have worked on the car with me, or can finacally back what you've invested. hehehe......
Props for a cool guy.

Yeah I did it for free, he did feed me but I was still hungry. I just saw him tonight and he told that a lady wants me and HIM to put a tranny in her 98 hyundai accent for $200. Which means I'm going to have to pull another tranny at the junkyard and take out the old one and install the new one for only $200, I don't think so. My boy was like yeah we can do it together and I"m looking at him like you don't even know what the hell your doing.
