I just bought a 1991 Accord about two weeks ago. Its an awesone car and I would not give up up for anything else. The S light just came on and its flashing. It is also very hard to change the different gears. he transmssion was just changed before I bought it

What does that mean?

I have the same problem in my 91' accord ex. My gear shifter is also somewhat stiff (That's related to a link cable somewhere, I priced out the repair at the dealer it was $200) As for the S light blinking I've read on variuos threads on this forum that it's usually related to a blown resistor in the main computer located under the carpet on the passenger side. Now if that is the case it's an easy fix with the right resistor and a little bit of soldering skills. I've heard that it's expensive to do at the shop though. Now, I'm not sure if that is the problem with mine I haven't had a chance to open up the comp and see. I would search the site for some threads that talk about it, there are quite a few. And let me know how you make out!
