Yesterday my mini-me was finished, but the guy that built it ran into a little problem.
It runs smooth but keeps throwing a CEL, code 8 TDC.

A ECU and dizzy from a good running D16Z6 Sol were tested without any result.
Wiring to the TDC sensor was checked multiple times an we even ran extra wires next to the loom to makes sure no broken wires are in play.

What are the possible causes of a code 8 besides the distributor?

And it doesn't start if the MAP sensor is connected.

I did a search on this problem and found the question 3 times..
but NO asnwer..
on whole HT no specialist's know what the deal with this? hard to believe ..

 

did your car have a D15B2 to?
EUDM 3/4drs came with that engine, only the 2dr came with a D15B7 which came in all USDM civics

 

no ive got the d15b7 but almost the same dpfi > mpfi
but ive got the exact same problem and tryd allot fo things but nothing worked..
and still the anoying yellow check engine light is staring at me ;-(
