Default speaker setup in 92-95 civic hatch

I'm trying to figure out what would be the best aftermarket midbass speaker for the rear speakers in a 93 hatch. Anyone have a suggestion?

ive seen people cut 6x9's in the back of the hatch cover and disconnect the rear panel speakers. I have 6.5 inch speakers installed in place of the crappy 5 1/4's they came with. Polk audio (baltimore md w00t) and alpine are great inexpensive replacements.
of course there are much better speakers out there...

You are going to have to stop getting your car audio from wherever you are because, $1500 seems a little over the top, but then you are probably talking about the SPX-Z15M at $1500 US and thats for one side, or maybe the SPX-Z18T but they are $3500 US and if you are talking about the F1 status speakers, you may be right, there may be better speakers out there, but the Polks you have are not one of them 94

Diamond audio D361I. For the price they can't be beaten. Best clarity without stepping up to separates.

In reality you want to find out what speakers sound best to YOU. We can tell you all day long what is better, but realistically you're going to be listening to them every day.
